PROFESSIONAL DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO SELLS HOMES FASTER

Professional aerial drone photography & video helps sell a home up to 7 times faster especially in the luxury market, so say leading experts in the UK property industry.

THREE KEYS WAYS AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY ADDS VALUE TO PROPERTY SALES

Aerial property photography is one of three key ways professional photographers can add value to property sales; boost enquiries and speed up sales, according to a recent study..

Analysis recently made by the largest estate agency and property companies in Britain has revealed that professional photography has been shown to increase the speed of their sales by around 30%, while aerial photos make that as much as 7 times faster

THE BENEFITS OF USING DRONES WHEN SELLING PROPERTY

So what are the benefits in always using drones especially when selling expensive, luxury homes AND for that matter, commercial property, factories and warehousing? Aerial imaging offers picture and video opportunities which offer a unique perspective of a property – a birds eye viewpoint that traditional ground-based photographs just can’t match.

It perfectly illustrates the property from above, emphasizing its surroundings, landscape, and of course its overall beauty. This unique perspective helps any listing featuring aerial images stand out and catch the eye of potential buyers.

Aerial views also allow estate agents to really show off the property to its best advantage - especially if the house is large and is surrounded by beautiful gardens and swimming pools!

It goes without saying that photographing a property from various angles, it becomes much easier to demonstrate the property relative to nearby buildings, land, amenities, and nearby features.

For smaller homes, where photographic opportunities are more limited, aerial shots still help add extra detail. This is where using a drone excels. Whether its photographing or filming a large property or a much smaller one, the images reveal the entire nature of the home in question. This is often impossible with ground-based photography alone.

PROFESSIONAL DRONE PHOTOGRAPHERS Vs DIY.

Of real concern is that nearly three quarters of the estate agents surveyed who state that they use drone imaging to help sell a mid to large sized properties, only 40% hire a professional.

Of course this is because that these days, drones are relatively cheap and very easy to get hold of. It is no doubt very tempting for estate agents either to do it themselves or task an office junior to carry out the work. After all, it must be cheaper and cheaper is always better - right?

Well, in short, no. Cheaper isn't better and it's not only a matter of cost. To legally operate drones for commercial reasons in the UK, drones need to be registered. Pilots need to be registered with the Civil Aviation Authority and they also need to obtain an Operators Licence which you can only get by taking an official training course. Then there is the matter of being insured so that should a drone crash into something or someone you as a business are financially covered. After all, the costs of compensation are potentially huge.

There is of course the matter of staff undertaking further training to make sure that when commercially operating a drone, they know the law and are aware of local flying restrictions. And, lets be honest, they are not photographers with trained, creative eyes who know how to get the very best out of the property. How many times have people who have said 'How hard can it be?' have come a cropper?

WHY HIRING A PRO DRONE PHOTOGRAPHER IS ALWAYS BETTER

Simply put, it is far, far easier to hire a professional photographer who is a highly experienced, well trained and fully insured drone pilot. It will cost more than a DIY option but it actually makes the life of an estate agent much more convenient. Not only is it the safer option but it is cheaper and more effective in the long run.

As a qualified, trained, registered and insured drone pilot working throughout the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Greater London area, I have all the skills and experience you need. Not only that, I also have experience in obtaining permission to legally fly in No Fly and Restricted Zone areas and have regularly dealt with the National Air Transport Service, local Police and Military Bases. Now that is something that the office junior can't do.
